I’ve found that there are some local mushroom farms as well as foragers that are making harder to find mushrooms more available, and for lower prices. I usually order in my fresh morels from Oregon, and can expect to pay as much as $50 per pound, depending on the time during the season. So you can see why I was excited to find them easily available at Costco for only $1/ounce! Of course I picked some up, and will make them with eggs for breakfast.
